Community workers add a string to their bows

A group of workers involved in local community services has completed their studies and were recently awarded with their certificates at the Young Bowling Club.

The group, made up mostly of individuals from Lambing Flat Enterprises, Mercy Care Centre, Young Community Centre and Community Transport completed either a Diploma of Community Services (Case Management) or Certificate IV in Training Assessment.

Both qualifications are nationally accredited with eight people completing the diploma while nine other undertook the Certificate IV, both of which took several months to complete.

Those who competed the Certificate IV (including four from Queanbeyan) were: Monica Conliffe, Teena Delaney, Stephen Dunshea, Rhonda Gilbert, Naomi Peters, Gail Nicholson, Elly Schiller, Nicole Shipton, Louise Silk, Denise Slavin, Kay Solley, Jennifer Spring and Debbie Taylor.

Those who undertook the diploma were: Wendy Bauer, Helen Coleiro, Cathy Daley, Gail Nicholson, Naomi Peters, Kelly Rolfe, Marion Slater and Jennifer Spring.
