Police are appealing for assistance from the public to help locate a Canadian national last seen in St Peters in Sydney.
Twenty-two year old Eddie Provencher arrived in Australia on November 11 on a working tourist visa with his sister and her boyfriend.
He was staying with friends at St Peters and was planning to backpack around Australia looking for work as a cook or fruit picking.
About 5am on Tuesday, November 20, he gathered his belongings, including his backpack, and left the premises at St Peters and was last seen walking down Florence Street.
There are concerns for Eddie’s welfare as he has not contacted family since he went missing and has not responded to emails or social networking sites. He has also not accessed any of his accounts and was not believed to be carrying much money at the time he was last seen.
Eddie is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 185-190cm tall with a medium build. He has a tanned complexion, brown eyes and brown curly hair. His first language is French, however he can speak English.
He was last seen wearing a blue short sleeved button-up shirt with a white t-shirt underneath, light brown shorts, green hiking boots and a white “Billabong” baseball cap.
He is carrying a dark grey ‘Gregory Baltoro” brand backpack containing camping equipment.
