THE Young Bowling Club was a hive of activity this week with the Cherry Blossom Women’s Tournament being played on Tuesday and Wednesday and the Mixed Triples being played on Friday and Saturday.

In the Women’s Fours 36 teams were entered and after three rounds the leading three teams are M. Maxwell’s team from Bulli, on plus 51, followed by Robyn Apps team from Harden on plus 47 and Tina Rush’s team from Cootamundra on plus 45. Full results will be in next week’s Witness.

Because of the carnivals no social bowls were played during the week.

A sheet is on the board for our Christmas party and name are to be in by December 1.

Birthday wishes to Peg Myers, who celebrates her 90th this week and also to Edna Smith.

All nominations for the South West Championships close on December 3

Cheerio to anyone on the sick list.
