NOW is the time to get your golf clubs out and get into golf at the Young Golf Club. There is something on for anyone from raw beginners to social golfers and club members also.
Starting on Monday, October 11, is the popular daylight saving golf team event. This is open to anyone at all who wants to play golf, whether they are members or not, and is played any day at almost any time from Monday to Friday. Most teams will choose to play after work, but other times are available so that your team can fit in their weekly fix of golf as well.
Daylight saving golf is the ideal way to break into golf as no handicap or membership is required to get started. Played over six holes, this is a quick, fun and easy event to play in.
All you need is between three and five players and you have your team. Get a team from work, get a team of your mates, get a team from your neighbourhood, get a team from your family or get a team from your pub or club. Just get your team together and get into it. You can choose to play all together or separately, whatever suits you best.
What better way to unwind after work than a quick few holes around the beautiful Young Golf Course.
FREE GOLF LESSONS
Starting Friday October 15, will be our FREE LEARN TO PLAY GOLF sessions. Club professional Phil Cartwright will be giving free golf lessons on Friday afternoons starting from 5pm and once again these are open to anyone interested in taking up or getting back into the great game of golf.
SUNDAY AFTERNOON GOLF
Also on Sunday afternoons we will be playing a nine holes PAR 3 event if you would like to try your hand at the shorter course but can’t make a midweek day. This event will tee off on Sunday‘s at 3pm and once again is open to all comers.
