Saturday saw the February monthly medal attract 88 players and in A grade Stuart Norton was the winner with 67 nett on count back, Mark Fletcher won B grade with 65 points and junior John-Arthur Coltman tasted his first success with 66 nett.
The Elite scratch winners were Geoff Walker with 67 points in A grade, Mark Fletcher won B grade with 79 points and Jim Milton with 88 points won C grade.
Richard Apps won the Terry Bros Carpet Court secret birdie (first hole) and Adrian Hanrahan won the Richard Mellish Insurance Services card draw.
The Peter Doherty putting winners were Steve Smith (A grade), Max Gilbert (B grade) and Peter Doherty won C grade.
The medal event is sponsored by Harvey Norman Superstore Young.
Sundays medley was sponsored by Kyle Williams and Brant Taylor with Phil Mitchell leading the field home on 40 points from Robert Flynn 38 with Scott Druett third on a count back.
The junior event was sponsored by the Golf Club and Lachlan Mitchell won on 27 nett from T Sanderson 29, B Martin 32 ½, T Cormack 32 ½, and M Mitchell 34 ½.
Tuesday saw Laurie Lang the winner.
On Wednesday, 76 players participated with Warwick Darling a clear winner on 41 points, Richard Mellish, Frank Lincoln, Chris Keevil, Chris Fraser and Mark Fletcher all had 37 points and they finished in this order after a count back.
Balls to 31 points on a count back and Brian Norman won the card draw.
On Friday Warwick Darling continued his good form with 20 points to win from Grant Harding and John Rolfe. Balls to 16 points on a count back.
This coming Saturday the event will be a four person Ambrose, sponsored by the Young Saints AFL Club and hopefully we will see good support from club members. I anticipate good numbers playing from the AFL players and it is an ideal opportunity to promote our club and game to potential players in the future.

The lady golfers have the opportunity to play in the Ambrose or their Summer points score.
On Sunday the third round of the Scott Fuller is being staged at Young and hopefully we will see good support from our players. The event is a medley four-ball so the ladies are welcome to play.
Players are reminded that Saturday, February 18 is a multiplier sponsored by Barry Martens and Greg Nolan.
Club Championship will start on Saturday, March 3 and a little further down the track the 000 Ambrose is scheduled for Friday, March 30.
Don’t forget every time you play in an 18 hole competition you earn a ticket in the $400 cash Bonanza draw which will be finished on the last day of the club championship, March 11.
