Last Sunday the Young Motorcycle Club held its last round of the Young Tyre Power Motocross Championship.
It was a great day with some very exciting, hard fought racing as well as a few thrills and spills.
Spectators on the day were treated to some really skilful racing by the riders in all events.
The success of the day was aided by the large contingent of families, spectators, senior and junior riders from Canberra.
The next event to be held in Young will be on Sunday, November 1.
Young Motorcycle Club is holding a “Come Try Day” at their track located on the Bunyarra property on the Grenfell Road.
The day is designed for anyone interested in riding around our race track to come along with any bike, other than a quad bike, and ride around the course for four laps.
Juniors from four years to 17 years will need a helmet, gloves, goggles, body armour, suitable footwear and long sleeves and pants.
Body armour is optional for seniors.
Now the good news.
The day is FREE for non-members!
A $15 fee for YMCC members wishing to ride on the day as a practice day.
This is a great opportunity to come out and have a ride around the track and see what competitors go through in motocross racing.
Ride at your leisure for four laps.
Track officials will be there on the day to help out and answer any questions.
The day starts at 8.30am and concludes around 3.30pm.
Full canteen facilities will be run on the day and there are toilets at the ground.
Come out and see for yourself and have a ride you never know you could be the next Chad Reed!
Contact Darren Wilder at Wilder’s Motorcycles for more info or questions.
On November 28 the Young Motorcycle Club will be holding its presentation night at the Empire Hotel in the upstairs function room.
