Bribbaree Pony Club held their first rally for 2012 last Sunday where they played host to an outstanding number of 36 riders.
The day included instructors teaching members horsemanship such as jumping, flags, barrels and bending, and polocrosse as well as the sporting aspect of riding such as drafting.
One particular highlight of the day was when riders set out on a one-hour trail ride – usually over approximately 10 kilometres – down the back lanes of Bribbaree where even parents saddled up their horses and got involved.
Open to members from other clubs, Bribbaree hold their rallies on the first Sunday of every month that is supported with strong activities and has a large family orientation.
Members say it’s a fun day where safety comes first and the great thing is, parents are more than welcome to come along for a ride too.
