The Boorowa Woolfest raffle of meat from their local butcher created plenty of interest on the day and was won by a Young person.
The Cherryatrics asked our branch to be on the gate and collect a gold coin entry during their Old Boy weekend in early October. We collected over $1300 thanks to The Boys.
Catering for the ‘Jacaranda Hill’ garden day was enjoyed by our members as an opportunity to also view Lorraine and Bob’s garden - as many other people enjoyed.
Our Garden Walk on November 3 at ‘Sunnyside’ and ‘Aldelzie’ with trading table, coffee, raffle and food helped raise over $1400.
Certificates of appreciation were presented to Josie and Karen at our December meeting along with morning tea voucher donated by Sheehan’s Sunnyside Bakery.
Stuart Norton Realty held his annual corporate golf day and very generously donated over $3000 to our branch. We presented Stuart with a Certificate of Appreciation for his kind and thoughtful donation.
We sold a quad bike given to us by a fellow who won it. A brand new four wheeler is now running around west of Wyalong!
Our members did their day on the Fire Brigade raffle – doing as much talking as selling tickets. We appreciate the opportunity to work together to raise money for the ‘Firies’ and other local charities. The sleigh in the street certainly means Santa is coming to town.
On behalf of CanAssist Young/Boorowa thank you to all those who support us in so many ways and enable us to continue to help cancer patients and their families in both shires. Best wishes for a happy 2013.
