7.19am: The RFS Alert Level for this fire is `Advice', the Status is `Under Control' and there is a High fire danger for the Southern Slopes today. Across NSW there are NO areas with Severe, Extreme or Catastrophic fire danger warnings today. The fire has so far burnt out an area of 1613 hectares .
SATURDAY
1.54pm: This fire is currently about 5 kilometres south west of Boorowa in the Black Range area.
More than 60 firefighters, assisted by bull dozers and aircraft, are taking advantage of cooler weather conditions today to strengthen containment lines around this fire, particularly the western edges.
The threat to the township of Boorowa has now eased.
Significant stock losses have been reported.
Douglas Gap Road remains closed due to fallen trees.
5.21am: The current fire danger for the southern slopes is `High' and the fire has been classified by NSWRFS as `Being Controlled'. The grass fire is currently about 5 kilometres south-west of Boorowa. The eastern side of the fire, closest to Boorowa, has been contained. There is no immediate threat to the township of Boorowa however residents should monitor conditions.
The weather forecast for Boorowa today from Weatherwatch: Cloudy. Isolated showers contracting to the north and clearing by evening. Winds E 15 to 25 km/h becoming light in the afternoon then increasing to 15 to 25 km/h in the evening. Daytime maximum temperatures 22 to 30.
Following a southerly change last night the fire is now heading in a north easterly direction. Properties along Douglas Gap and Murringo Roads may still come under threat from this grass fire.
Crews have been backburning overnight at Yallambee on Douglas Gap Road to protect properties in the area. People in the area should expect to see an increase in fire and smoke.
Both Douglas Gap and Campbellfields Roads are closed. 88 firefighters from the NSW RFS and Fire and Resuce NSW worked to get containment on this fire overnight.
The NSW RFS advises that residents and visitors follow their Bush Fire Survival Plan. If the fire impacts on your property, seek shelter to protect yourself from the heat of the fire.

UPDATED 7.20pm: The RFS had downgraded the Watershed fire from an Emergency Warning to Watch and Act. The fire is currently about 5 kilometres south-west of Boorowa.
The eastern side of the fire, closest to Boorowa, has been contained. There is no immediate threat to the township of Boorowa however residents should monitor conditions.
Following a southerly change the fire is now heading in a north easterly direction, with properties along Douglas Gap Road under threat. Both Douglas Gap and Campbellfields Roads closed.
More than 60 fire trucks are on scene. Ground crews have been assisted by water-bombing aircraft. The Air Crane has been working in the area.

UPDATED 4.02pm: There is a large, fast moving grass fire burning south west of Boorowa. The fire is burning in an easterly direction towards Boorowa. The fire is currently about 5 kilometres south-west of Boorowa.
The fire may reach the outskirts of Boorowa anytime in the next two hours. More than 50 fire trucks are on scene. Ground crews are being assisted by waterbombing aircraft. The Air Crane is being sent to the area.
Properties in the Moppity area are at threat. The fire is burning near Harden Road and Campbellfields Road. There are a number of local road closures including Moppity Road.
An emergency alert telephone warning message has been sent to homes in the area.
