Jesse John Jasprizza, 20, Michael McKnight, 18, and Jacob Paterson, also 18, allegedly hit the avid skater, who was visiting Young for harvest, over the head with his own skateboard and kicked him while he was down following a confrontation.
The cherry picker suffered cuts and abrasions and required stitches to the back of his head.
The three men stood before Magistrate Peter Dare in the Young Local Court on Tuesday on charges related to the November 9, 2012 incident.
The case was adjourned until April 2 to allow more time for police to gather evidence, including statements and medical reports. No plea was entered.
Paterson and Jasprizza are both charged with using violence to cause fear, reckless wounding in company and affray.
McKnight is charged with using violence to cause fear, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, affray and assault occasioning actual bodily harm in the company of others.
Bail was continued for all three men.
Jasprizza was also before the court on charges of using violence to cause fear, maliciously destroying or damaging property and affray in relation to a separate incident on September 1, 2012 at McDonald’s Restaurant.
The case was also adjourned until April 2.
