Little Bella Brownlie added a further 1.24 metres to her December 19 record of 11.58, when she launched the discus to a record-breaking 12.82 metres.
A fantastic achievement for an U7 athlete!
Meanwhile, over in the U13s, Jack Stephenson followed on from his massive successes at the regional carnival by adding 72cms to Tyler Kimber’s 2006 discus record with a huge throw of 34.45 metres.
Jack threw 33.01 metres three days earlier at regionals and beat his opposition in that event by around nine metres, so he is clearly gearing up ready for the state titles.
Jack also managed to score four out of four personal bests on the evening, with Archie Dowling achieving the same feat in the U8s.
