Jesse Bruce and Damo Norman of Young travelled to Cowra at the weekend where they competed in the second installment of the Adrenaline Rush mixed martial arts event at the Cowra Civic Centre.

Eleven bouts on the program featuring Cowra exponents ensured there was a supportive audience.
Organiser of Adrenaline Rush 2 Mick Skinner was pleased with how the night unfolded.
“It was a really good night,” he said.
“We had some quick fights but we also had some that went for the three rounds, there were some really entertaining fights. There will be a few sore fighters.”
Young’s Damo Norman was set to compete against Anthony Batchelodor but couldn’t make weight and was deemed too dangerous by the sanctioning body, opening the evening with a knockout victory.
“It was too dangerous to put him in against someone that size and it’s not worth the risk sanctioning wise,” Skinner said.
“I stepped up and he was a bit reluctant at first because we sort of know each other - you don’t have to hate each other to fight, it’s a sport. It was good to get the win.”
It was mixed results for the Cowra contingent.
Jesse Bruce scored a unanimous points win over Nathan Bourne before Scott Death made an impressive debut against Canberra’s Robert David.
Jesse worked tirelessly throughout the match and landed the most blows.
