Livermore spent 31 years at the helm of the QRL and retired in 2011. He was 68.

QRL staff and the Queensland rugby league community are in shock at the news.
Livermore was one of the key figures in the rise of State of Origin and a passionate supporter of the Maroons, often going into battle with the Blues over the latest interstate controversy.
He was known to be unwell in his retirement and had been getting treatment in hospital.
Livermore is survived by his wife Meralda, 62 and children Helen, 35, and Nicholas, 32.
