The winning team of four, Mat McKnight, Dean Schofield, Shaun Rolfe and Ryan Terry finished on 55.5 nett. They won by two shots from Josh Langford, John Elphick, Ben Norton and Jason Nolan on 57.5 nett.
In third place was Scott Druett, Andrew, Col and Trish Miller on 57 7/8 nett.
The Callaway Company came on board to assist with sponsorship and they sponsored the long drive up the 18th hole which was won by Jason Nolan.
The winning team will move forward to the next elimination round and we wish them well.
On Saturday the four all multiplier, sponsored by Chad Challen and Damian Collins, saw David Hamblin and Ian Broderick the winners on 73 points.
They both scored birdies on the 18th hole for 16 points and that carried them to 73 points and a five point winning margin over Simon Snedden and Greg Grounds on 68.
The boys sponsored a NTP second shot on the 11th hole but that was not won.
The Watson Toyota NTP winners were Josh Langford on the seventh, and on the 17th was Rob Rainey.
Neither Terry Bros Carpet Court secret birdie or the Richard Mellish Insurance Services Card Draw was won.
The Sunday junior competition was sponsored by Harvey Norman Superstore Young which saw Jarrod Harding win on 27 nett from Tyler Nicholson on 36.5 nett.
On Tuesday Graham Noakes was the winner on 20 points from Mark Campbell on 19 points.
On Wednesday 40 players participated in the pro comp and Wayne Hewson won with 39 points from Steve Sell on 38 points.
Pud Smithers ran third on 37 points, John Barton on 37 and Ron Flynn had 37 points.
Balls to 30 points on a countback and this week’s jackpot card draw was not won.
On Friday Chris Keevil was the winner on 23 points from Curly Keevil on 20 points.
Brian Gales and Dave Robinson each scored 18 points.
Balls to 17 points.
Next Saturday Geoff Hill will sponsor the NRL Challenge single stableford event and players are invited to dress up in their NRL club’s foot gear.
On Sunday a big fundraiser is scheduled to assist Cystic Fibrosis Australia.
The event will be an open four person ambrose and the entry fee of $30 will include a sausage sizzle and complimentary drink.
