Joel Shields shot a 65 off the stick and equalled the amateur course record.
He won the elite scratch for A Grade and also won the medal in A Grade with a 64 nett. Congratulations Joel!
Steve Sell played well in A Grade with 68 off the stick.
In B Grade John Rolfe won the medal with 65 nett and the elite with 80 off the stick.
In C Grade Greg Grounds won the medal with 66 nett and Geoff Connelly won the scratch with 85.
The John Hobson Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration putting winners were Steve Sell for A Grade, John Rolfe for B Grade and Michael Slater for C Grade.
The Watson Toyota NTP winners were John Connell on the seventh, and David Martens on the 17th.
The Terry Bros Carpet Court secret birdie hole was the fourth and was not won, and the Richard Mellish Insurance Services card draw was not claimed.
Sixty-six players participated and the event was sponsored by Harvey Norman Superstore Young.
On Sunday the medley was sponsored by South West Tractors on Milvale Road and Robert Keevil handled the wind best and scored 37 points to win.
Jason Nolan was second on 36 points on a countback from Kyle Williams.
Balls to 31 points .
There was no Veterans Competition on Tuesday but the club hosted the AHA charity fundraiser golf day.
Over 120 players participated and the winning team was Cheryl Minehan and Ben Holmes.
On Wednesday 48 players played in the Pro Comp and Simon Snedden shot a par 70 for 40 points.
Neville Alchin was second on 38 points, Peter Frecklington on 37, Michele Blizzard 37, Alan Wilder 37, then Steve Sell, Darryl Brown, Max Gilbert and Brian Page all finished on 37 points also.
Grant Hardin won the jackpot card draw.
On Friday Bob Martin won the nine hole competition with 24 points from John Barton on 23 points.
Balls to 18 points on a countback.
Next Saturday we have the Jerry Stolhand Memorial being sponsored by the Stolhand family, Wayne Honeman, James French and Wayne Henson.
The event is a two person Ambrose with a prize for the best men’s team, best ladies team and best mixed team.
There will be a prize for the golfer wearing the brightest or loudest outfit, so players, dress up!
Additionally there will be a barbecue operating and a $200 cash card draw at the presentation.
The entry fee is $20.
On Sunday the medley will be sponsored by Young AutoPro.
Entries for the Veterans Week of Golf in November will close shortly.
Intending players can get a form from the Pro Shop.
A great social evening is planned for Saturday, November 2 with a beef and pork spit roast barbecue buffet with all the trimmings plus sweets from 6.45pm followed by great music for dancing until midnight.
It should be a good night but we need some support from our members.
Bookings at the club and tickets are available and need to be purchased.

The ‘Have a go at Golf’ program which began last Friday continues.
It is held on Friday afternoons from 5.30pm. This is a good opportunity to get a start in playing golf.
