The award was presented to owners Jamie and Emma Torr at the Autopro Awards black tie event at the Viaduct Event Centre, Auckland, New Zealand.
The couple accepted the award in front of Autopro members from each state and supplier partners, highlighting a night of recognition and entertainment after five days of trade show exhibitions and conference planning sessions.
Jamie and Emma said the award has demonstrated their dedication to the Autopro brand, their community and sales growth year upon year.
“The Award shows that what we are doing, what our staff are doing and what we are doing within our local community is right. We have been able to grow our business and also grow our staff, making sure they are becoming the best they can be at servicing those within our local area,” Jamie said.
“This award is as much for them, as it is for us.”
Metcash Automotive CEO and Automotive Brands Group CEO, Paul Dumbrell said the awards recognised the journey taken by both Autopro members and supplier partners over the last 12 months.
“The team at Autopro Young have excelled in all areas of their business during this time.”
Jamie and Emma opened the store in 2001, with just the two of them running the business and serving customers.
In 2013, they now employ eight full time staff and four casuals operating seven days a week.
Jamie and Emma pride themselves in assisting the local community. They have been involved in sponsorships including the local Under 17s soccer team as well as other sports including rugby league, cricket and other clubs and events.
The major event on the Autopro Young calendar is the Autopro Cherry Festival Car Show in conjunction with the National Cherry Festival held each year in December.
If you would like to find out more about the car show, or if you would simply like to visit the team at Autopro Young, you can find them at 45 Clark Street.
