The warrant comes one week after police arrested an 18-year-old male with the intent to charge him for the murder of Young man Corey Power. He will be appearing in Brisbane Magistrate Court again towards the end of this month.
It also comes a week after police urged anyone with information about Corey’s death to come forward before they started knocking on doors.
“If someone is an accessory before the fact or after the fact, if they have first-hand knowledge of the crime and who committed it, they might not be aware that they themselves are committing an offence,” Cootamundra Local Area Command crime manager Detective Inspector Paul Huxtable said.
“We’d like them to come forward before we track them down.”
The Spring Street address was cordoned-off with police tape around 1.30pm yesterday with a number of detectives, police and a crime prevention van arriving on scene.
Inspector Huxtable said the warrant was used to search for evidence in relation to Corey’s murder at the location.
He said investigations were ongoing and was unable to provide further details at this stage.
