Keith Simmons Engineering generously donated the first prize for B2B’s raffle, a Victa ride on mower priced at $5000.
John Coulter joined the team at Keith Simmons to draw the raffle winners.
Jed Edwards was named the winner of the Victa ride on mower, second place going to Gordon Allen winning a home pack including a Husqvarna chainsaw, a Husqvarna blower vac and an Absco garden shed. BP Harden picked up third prize, which included a Weber Q barbecue, mixed dozen Grove Estate Wine and mixed dozen Binbilla Wines.
The win came as a pleasant surprise for Jed, especially considering how he and wife Penny obtained their ticket in the B2B raffle.
Following a mix up with school fees for an excursion their two children attended with
Murringo Public School, the Edwards’s were given $5 change for an overpayment.
But the couple refused to accept the payment and said to donate it back to the school.
Instead, the school sold them a raffle ticket - the winning ticket, to be precise.
John wishes to extend a huge thank you to all the companies who donated and all of the people who brought tickets.
“I’ve been amazed by the support,” John said.
“We still have money coming in, but we are currently at $53,500.”
The staff at Keith Simmons Engineering send out a big congratulations to the winners of the raffle and praise John and the team on their efforts.
“I’ve been thinking about the C to C, and then the D to D!” John added.
