The committee has accomplished a lot in the last 12 months with the erection of our new arena and finally completing the safety fencing at the back of the clubhouse.

We would like to thank all those people who have come and helped out during working bees and have assisted with all the jobs that continually need updating.

Our president Barry Matthews is very grateful for all the assistance he can get.

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate those members that have competed at state levels in different disciplines.

Representing Young Pony Club, in no particular order — Patty Scorce, Sophie Parish, Tahlia Wells, Sara Clark, Ashleigh Bennett, Bonnie Eason, Emily Eason, Charlie Eason and Alex Tout.

Our final rally and Christmas party was held on Sunday, December 1 along with our AGM.

It was great to see all our riders dressed up for the occasion in all their beautiful Christmas attire!

A special mention to Ann Sheehan who made all her granddaughters outfits which had to be seen to be believed.

It is these fun days which make being an instructor such a joy. The smiles and the laughter of the kids just make you realise why you give your time freely.

Our sign up day for 2014 will be held on Sunday, January 26 at the shed from 11am until 2pm.

Young Pony Club will be catering for the Donkey Show that will be held that weekend, so feel free to come and join up and have a look at what is involved with the showing of donkeys.

Young Pony Club is looking forward to even bigger and better challenges next year, so let’s make it great!
