The money will go toward the much anticipated Carnival of Cups to be held on Saturday, March 15. It’s an event which the bank has sponsored for a number of years.
The money will be used for the promotion of the carnival, as well as prize money.
The Harness Racing Club said they were extremely grateful for the generous donation.
“Thanks very much to the Credit Union for their ongoing support, not only to harness racing but to all asporting bodies in Young,” Garry said.
The Credit Union - as always - was more than happy to be giving back to the community.
“We just see sponsorship of sporting bodies in the areas we operate in as part of our charta,” general manager Steve Elsley said. “We’re in a position to be able to do it because of the support we, in return, receive from the members of the community.
