TAKE 5: Splashed in a national magazine, Young’s Chinese Tribute Gardens.
It may not be the front page of the Sydney Morning Herald but it appears visitors have been captivated by Young’s Chinese Tribute Gardens and Chinaman’s Dam.
So much so they have taken a photo of the gardens and sent it into the magazine Take 5.
Councillor John McGregor’s push to better promote the area as a tourist attraction compelled one local to give him this clipping while he was attending church.
The clipping reads: ‘the beautiful and peaceful Chinese Tribute Gardens in Young, NSW. It’s a piece of China in country Australia’ and was submitted by a West Kempsey visitor named Lisa Hodgetts.
