Bookmakers were finding it hard to write a bet for BMW favourite Fiorente on Friday but that was not a problem for the Sydney Cup in two weeks.

The Melbourne Cup winner was backed from $15 into a $5.50 second pick behind stablemate The Offer for the Sydney Cup.
"We are having a stand-off with the punters in The BMW. He is the favourite but it would be a close run thing whether we have written more bets for him in the Sydney Cup in the last 24 hours," TAB's Glenn Munsie said.
"The money started to come for Fiorente late on Thursday in the Sydney Cup and kept coming. He is a two-mile winner and this would suggest that he would run in the Sydney Cup, but that decision is up to Gai [Waterhouse]
"He is still solid enough in The BMW. It is a funny betting race because they are very wary of It's A Dundeel and want to back the wet track in Voleuse De Coeurs and there is still a bit of money for Silent Achiever."
Racing NSW vet Craig Suann passed It's A Dundeel fit to race on Friday after it was revealed by trainer Murray Baker that the entire had been lame at the start of the week.
He has been in heart bar shoes in the lead-up to The BMW but will wear race plates on Saturday.
"Punters just don't like to hear about bar plates at any time," Munsie said. "I think he will just continue to blow in the market, Silent Achiever is second favourite now and he could get towards $5."
Ranvet Stakes winner SIlent Achiever continues to tick over well but her trainer Roger James is worried about the speed in The BMW with Green Moon and Mourayan missing.
"I can't see a lot of pace in the race," James said. "They went along pretty nicely in the Ranvet and we would like to see that again if possible.
"She has definitely got better since that run and it would be nice to erase last year's second by winning it."
Racing NSW vets also passed Zanbagh and Rising Romance fit to run in Saturday's Vinery Stud Stakes.
Zanbagh will have bar plates in front as a precautionary measure, says trainer Guy Wallter, and is a $5 equal favourite with Solicit and Rising Romance.
A New Zealand Derby runner-up, Rising Romance was inspected by Suann on Thursday afternoon, after arriving in Sydney, because of a stone bruise, which had been reported by trainer Donna Logan.
She was passed fit to run but has a half pad under her off-fore plate as a protective measure.
