West Coast will have to make do without midfielder Luke Shuey for its trip to Geelong after accepting a one-match sanction for his strike to St Kilda's Tom Curren. Shuey would have risked an extra match on the sidelines had he ventured to the tribunal.

Gold Coast's  Steven May will front the tribunal on Tuesday night after electing to fight a one-game ban for engaging in rough conduct against Brisbane Lion Dayne Zorko.

Smith is in a similar position to May and cannot miss any further matches should his challenge fail.

Lions defender Daniel Merrett has decided not to contest a two-match ban for his crude strike on Gold Coast's David Swallow.

Richmond pair Jack Riewoldt and Matt Thomas accepted reprimands, while ruckmen Josh Jenkins (Adelaide) and Matthew Lobbe (Port Adelaide) decided not to contest their fines for making contact with an umpire.
