Chamber vice president Emily Bowker said they were excited so many local businesses nominated.
“The business awards bring together like-minded people who will be recognised for their achievements and hard work,” she said.
“The chamber would like to congratulate all finalists and sincerely thank the progressive businesses in our district who took the time to nominate and even though not all businesses were successful in becoming finalists, it was fantastic to see the community get involved and support this event,” Ms Bowker said.
Business awards spokesman Dean Kinlyside said this is a celebration of business in our community.
“We should be so proud that our district fosters such high standards of business.
“The gala event will be a showcase of everything that makes our business community tick,” Mr Kinlyside said.
The gala presentation dinner will be held Friday, June 20 at the Young Services Club.
It will be hosted by television presenter Catriona Rowntree, who not only has family ties to the district but has a good understanding of getting the right mix of work and family.
Catriona will be joined by local music artists and there will be a strong focus on showcasing local products, produce and services.
Tickets are $70 per person (tables of 10) which includes a two course meal and entertainment.
Tickets are available from the Young Services Club reception now.
