Everybody should be roaring to go after the success of the World Cup. Australia should feel proud of their efforts and thoroughly deserve the praise of the Australian nation as they played a very fast expansive attacking game that made for great viewing.
Soccer is always on the go and the sky is the limit for where it can take you with many players in recent years travelling abroad, and it all started here in Young. Dream, Believe, Achieve.
A big thank you to Malcolm Ward who helped out at the clinic last week. Great to have him there and display his awesome skills.
Although conditions were tough, about 30 players from various ages toughed it out and had a great day under the guidance of Doug McKenzie.
They will definitely have an edge as the finals approach. Thanks also to Glenn Payne who gave up his time as well.
A reminder that all goalkeepers are to wear headgear at all times.
Players can play up an age division but not for a team in the same age division. Players playing up an age division can not substitute a player of the older age division, they can only make up the numbers to constitute a full team.
We will be trying linesman and lineswomen this week so we ask for your support as this is there first time and we remind all parents, players and spectators that we have a zero tolerance policy.
You have to notify the referee to make a substitution.
Teams travelling to Grenfell this week are Country Car Wash and Boorowa in the Under 6s, Hardy Bros in the under 7’s, Osmond Excavations and CPC in the Under 8s, Bakers Delight and BFC in the Under 10s, Meat on the Menu in the Under 12s, Back 2 Back in the Under 14s and MBS in the Under 17s.
