Ball control in the first half was pretty ordinary, allowing us to hold it for only one set of six.
Kangaroos capitalised on our mistakes and only for the defence of Nick Boland, Sam Norton and Gus Smith we held on to go in at half time 16-12 in front.
The second half started a lot better with plenty of metres made by Casey Wall, Jacob Hardy and Nick Schiller. Brady LeStrange was excellent as fullback, as was Kuyan Sell on the wing and his combination with Nick Schiller to score two tries each was fantastic.
The Boorowa combination of Willis Arber and Mick Berry was very solid in the middle halting plenty of Kangaroos attack.
Blake Bloor scored a great try off a fantastic backline attacking raid.
This try was one of seven scored which was the result of good insight and service from the middle.
It is very hard to get into the groove when you don’t play for three weeks, but coach Norton has the team playing unselfish football resulting in everyone getting a fair chance with the ball.
Try scorers: Kuyan Sell (2), Casey Wall, Blake Bloor, Nick Schiller (2) and Brady LeStrange.
Goals: Jesse Corcoran (3), Casey Wall (1)
