It has been decided that two teams will be entered into the Cowra A Grade competition with the remaining teams to play in a B Grade competition in Young.
Without a committee for next season, how (and by whom) the local competition will operate remains to be answered.
An AGM will be held next Tuesday night at the Empire Hotel commencing at 7pm.
With Cowra organising the A Grade competition, it is hoped that a committee can be formed locally that will be able to organise and run the local competition.
Should this fail to happen, then who knows what may happen.
It could be that there may be no local competition at all which would be a disaster.
Outgoing president Scott Druett is encouraging as many people as possible to get along to the Empire next Tuesday to ensure the future of Young cricket.
“It is really important for Young cricket that we get good numbers to the AGM,” he said.
“It’s time new people stood up and contributed if they want to see cricket continue in this town.
“Too often it is left to the same people.”
All players who are interested in playing in Cowra are also encouraged to attend or contact Scott Druett on 0407 011 571 before Tuesday.
One team has been formed for Cowra but the second side still needs players.
