Convicted killer Michael Ibrahim is likely to have a new parole hearing after a "slip up" by authorities meant he was denied access to adverse intelligence allegedly obtained by prison bosses.

Ibrahim, the younger brother of underworld figure Hassan Sam Ibrahim and nightclub boss John Ibrahim, has served more than his six-and-a-half-year minimum sentence for the 2006 manslaughter of Robin Nassour, brother of Fat Pizza comedian George Nassour.
He became eligible for parole in March last year but it was refused by the State Parole Authority on the basis it was "not in the public interest given Ibrahim's risk of reoffending and demonstrated inability to adopt to normal lawful community life".
It was again refused in April this year on the basis of intelligence from both police and Corrective Services.
Ibrahim's lawyers appealed to the NSW Supreme Court, claiming the Parole Authority took into account "misleading and irrelevant" material in making its decision to keep him behind bars.
But on Friday lawyers for the Attorney-General told the court it would not oppose the granting of a new parole hearing because it was recently discovered that Ibrahim had been denied procedural fairness.
Robert Ranken said the Parole Authority had failed to give Ibrahim a summary of intelligence collected by Corrective Services which was taken into account when parole was refused.
Justice Richard Button indicated he would quash the decision of the Parole Authority and order a new parole hearing.
In April 2008 Ibrahim was sentenced to a maximum nine years and four months' jail for his role in the fatal stabbing of Robin Nassour at an apartment block in Chiswick in Sydney's inner west.
His full sentence expires on January 15, 2016.
In 2012 Ibrahim was found not guilty of a 2009 charge of conspiracy to murder nightclub owner John Macris. The Crown had alleged he orchestrated the crime from behind bars.
