The image that springs to mind is almost comic. A desperate refugee scratching his head, an Allen key in one hand, pages of wordless, stick-figure diagrams meant to be instructions clutched in the other. Lying on the dusty ground in front of him is a torn flat-pack box and the promise of cleverly designed Swedish furniture.
