Young locals are being encouraged to support the Riverina Ride For Sick Kids, a fundraising initiative that will see riders arriving in Young on Monday, August 25 having cycled a gruelling 140km from Wagga to Young.

The 20 man strong team of riders will be riding from August 25 to 29, arriving in Young for a well-earned rest after their first leg of the 800km bicycle ride from Ronald McDonald House Wagga to Ronald McDonald House Westmead.
Aiming to raise over $100,000 for Ronald McDonald Houses in Wagga and Canberra, along with the construction of the planned Ronald McDonald House Orange, funds will help provide much-needed support to families from around the Southern NSW and ACT region and beyond at a time when they need it most.
Local residents are encouraged to show their support by welcoming the riders as they arrive in Young, and by donating to the Everyday Hero pages of participating cyclists at https://give.everydayhero.com/au/rmhc-ride-for-sick-kids-riverina.
McDonald’s Licensee and Riverina Ride For Sick Kids Organiser Tony Aichinger will be gearing up to jump on his bike for RMHC.
“I’m really excited to be getting on my bike and riding for such a fantastic cause,” Tony said.
“We are hoping locals dig deep so Ronald McDonald House Charities can continue to support families going through one of the toughest times of their lives.”
Participants will also be stopping at local Rye Park School on Monday, August 25. The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile will also be making a stop at the School on the day – supporting the local community with mobile health check-ups.
