Long before Andrew Griffiths became Andy Griffiths, best-selling children's author, he was Griff Griffiths, unpredictable frontman. The mid '80s post-punk band Gothic Farmyard attracted a cult following in Melbourne's music scene thanks largely to the magnetic presence of its lead singer. Long-time friend Andy Moore was often in the crowd as Griff went wild. "Off stage he was this calm, quiet guy, but on stage he had this incredible energy," he says.
