In a rarely seen charge, Parr was found guilty of excessively slowing the speed on Shaftesbury about 200 metres after the start in a three-year-old maiden at Wyong on August 8. Shaftesbury, which was the $1.40 favourite, went on to win the race but stewards took issue with Parr taking hold of his mount and checking other runners.

While disappointed that he did not beat the charge at appeal on Tuesday, Parr was delighted not to miss a crucial Saturday at the beginning of the spring and will be out to recoup on the $2000 fine on Saturday.

"It is good to only be missing the one meeting on Thursday but the $2000 does sting," Parr said. "It works out well because I don't miss a Saturday and I will hopefully be able to get the fine back at Rosehill with a couple of nice rides."

Cluster, which was among the 87 Epsom nominations on Monday, is at the top of Parr's book of rides. He has been in the saddle for both his wins since Cluster joined the Peter and Paul Snowden stable this preparation.

Parr made the trip to Kembla Grange for his maiden victory, which formed part of a two-track double when he also scored on Pajaro at Rosehill on June 28. He has always held a high opinion of Cluster and believes his best is to come.

"I have put a bit of time into him [Cluster] and he is still on his way up," Parr said. "It is good to get back on him and I think he should be able to handle the soft track because he has such an efficient action.

"He has good form, which has been franked by Rock Sturdy winning twice since he beat him [July 19] and I'm sure Peter and Paul have kept him right up to the mark."

Meanwhile, Australian Turf Club racecourse manager Lindsay Murphy is confident that Wednesday's Warwick Farm meeting and the Run To The Rose meeting at Rosehill on Saturday are not in any danger because of the wet weather.

"Both tracks are heavy at the moment but, like last week, we have been lucky that the rain has missed where we are racing," Murphy said.
