Jordon Bourke will become Brisbane's 10th debutant for the season when the Lions play Geelong on Saturday, starting out against the club that could have chosen him as a father-son draftee two years ago.

Bourke's father, Damian, played 102 games for the Cats and captained the club for three years in the late 1980s, including the famous 1989 grand final against Hawthorn. The former ruckman left the club to join the Brisbane Bears in 1993.
Jordan spent time training with Geelong in his draft season, but after the Cats opted to overlook him he was instead drafted onto the Lions' rookie list as an academy player.
The key position prospect follows James Aish, Lewy Taylor, Michael Close, Tom Cutler, Nick Robertson, Darcy Gardiner, Zac O'Brien, Daniel McStay and fellow academy graduate Jono Freeman into the Brisbane team.
