Last year saw some fierce competition with some very close games going into extra time, showing you the quality and determination of these teams to win the ultimate prize.
Will that be repeated this year?
In the Under 10s McCafe has been the form team all season with their only blemish being a draw in the second last round game, while Mitton Bros from Grenfell will be keen to inflict their first loss. They have the strike power to do it but will have to bring there best game and some to defeat Scott Laceys team.
Scott will be hardened by his narrow defeat in extra time in last year’s Grand Final.
This game will be a cracker and when the teams met three weeks ago it was McCafe who prevailed in a 6-4 thriller.
The Under 12s could have been a Grand Final between any of the five teams from Young with the competition being that close. Harvey Norman and Café de Jour get to battle it out.
Harvey Norman were the minor premiers but will be without Charlie Duff, while Café have an unchanged team to the one that beat the inform Meat on the Menu.
Coach Pratt has his team firing at the right time but they haven’t been able to beat Harvey Norman this year.
Toss of a coin, you decide.
In the 14s Back 2 Back and Job Centre Australia have both only lost two games all season, with both teams having a win a piece in the regular season.
Back 2 Back went straight into the final two weeks ago while Job Centre might have played there final last week with a Brad Carroll goal enough to defeat a very unlucky Auto Pro.
Back 2 Back will be slight favourites but coach Carroll will have his team primed.
Should be a very defensive game with both teams having strong defence.
Pick the margin should only be a goal.
And last but not least the Under 17s final will be contested between Auto Pro Young and Grenfell Spray Safe & Save.
Auto Pro had a solid win over IGA last week and have some quality players on the field, playing really well as a team with five different goal scorers last week.
Grenfell have been the form team all year with only the one defeat and will be keen to put in a strong performance to claim back-to-back titles and will once again have strong crowd support.
The last time these two teams met in the major semi final the game was decided by penalties, this could well be the case again.
Auto Pro have trained well and if they dominate like last week they will be hard to stop.
This match once again will be game of the day, don’t miss it.
The Under 10s and 12s play at 9am, while the 14s and 17s play at 10.30am.
Presentations for all age group winners and runners-up will start at the completion of the Under 17s final at 1pm at The Young Services Club.
Trophies will also be handed out to the most valuable player, and coaches awards for all teams in the competitive age groups.
Good luck to all teams!
