The man in his thirties - who cannot be named to prevent identifying his alleged victims - has entered pleas of not guilty to five child sex charges, including sexual intercourse and assault with intent to have sexual intercourse.
The offences are alleged to have occurred between December 2012 and November 2013.
Documents tendered to the court at the committal hearing allege the man molested three children, including family members of his defacto partner and a boy he knew through his son.
He would allegedly abuse the children when his partner was out of the room or out of the house.
He was arrested on February 18 after authorities and the children’s parents were alerted to the allegations when comments were made to a teacher at a primary school.
One incident was alleged to have occurred early morning in the victim’s bed she was sharing with another child, when she was staying over at his house.
Afterwards, it is alleged, the defendant offered her a milkshake.
Another offence allegedly occurred while a boy was playing XBOX, and another when the boy was called into the defendant’s shed when playing in his backyard.
The defendant allegedly lured another victim into his bedroom by telling him he had a surprise for him, only to attempt to molest him before he ran out of the room.
Documents allege the man would message the alleged victims’ mother, inviting the children to stay over.
One of the victims told police every time she went to the man’s house, he would molest her.
The defendant allegedly told one of the victims his uncle had done the same thing to him and told him not to tell anyone.
He allegedly showed one of the victim’s pornography, telling her the girls were like her.
When confronted by the victims’ mother, he denied the allegations and said he feared someone was trying to sabotage a business deal.
In court, the man’s defence was granted access to subpoenaed forensic evidence.
Local magistrate Peter Dare SC found there was sufficient evidence to commit the man to a trial.
He will face trial at Wagga District Court in October.
