The event is not just about running. Young Youth Council mayor Isaac Northcott said there will be plenty on offer for all the community.
“You can run or walk the event and for those wanting to help out off the course, we would love people to volunteer or cheer,” he said.
“We have organised some great entertainment for after the run and all the community is welcome to attend.”
Organisers are grateful of the support from local businesses in sponsoring the event and, in what might be a world first, they are offering an edible medal - a delicious cherry pie made by Wilders.
And it doesn’t stop there - each runner or walker will receive a “medal”.
Adults are $15 and under 18s are $10. Registration and more information can be found at www.cherrychase.
