Young paramedics were called to a property on Murringo Road mid-morning Saturday after a man, aged in his 50s, was sifting cattle from a pen, up through a race shute and onto a truck.
The man was knocked over by a steer and dragged a short distance.
Young Ambulance Inspector Stephen Pollard said he was knocked unconscious for a short period.
The Snowy Hydro SouthCare Helicopter was dispatched to the property at 10.45am and airlifted the man to Canberra Hospital, under chances he may of sustained neck injuries.
"We got a call that someone had been trampled by cattle and that's certainly what we found," Inspector Pollard said.
"He was airlifted as a precautionary measure... because they wanted to check his neck."
Upon further observation, Inspector Pollard said the man had no neck injuries, nor any other "obvious" injuries.
