The driver was heading north along Mines Road, Thuddungra around 8am when his dog trailer, carrying a load of magnesium, rolled on a bend, spilling the load over the road’s shoulder.
The accident occurred around one kilometre from the mine, owned by Thuddungra Mining Company, and seven kilometres from the Bribbaree Road turnoff.
While the driver escaped injury, the road was left partially blocked for around four and a half hours.
Young Police said no-one was injured in the incident and both the truck and the trailer have been marked as defected.
Onlookers at the scene of the accident said it wasn’t the first time a truck had lost a load on the bend, which the driver described as difficult to navigate.
