The girls all competed well against over 60 gymnasts from both Canberra and NSW.
The girls were required to compete routines on the vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise.
Congratulations must go to Jetta Kennett who placed third on bars in Level 5 and 12th overall.
Very well done to Brianna Briggs, also in Level 5, who placed fifth on vault and 15th overall.
A supreme effort by Charlotte Smith after, having her lead-up to the competition plagued by injury, resulted in her placing second on beam and 10th overall in Level 6.
Vanessa Mitchell rose to the challenge to place a very credible 14th overall in Level 6.
The Level 7 competition was dominated by Shannon Robertson who managed to place first on bars and beam, second on vault and fourth on floor resulting in her being awarded the Level 7 ACT State Champion for 2014.
Coach Michael Robertson commented that he was very pleased with all the girl’s results and looks forward to more competition success.
