Police and ambulance were called to the track at about 1pm on Sunday afternoon to reports of an injured rider.
Police said the rider was on his second lap and had just gone around turn one when he crashed around a corner and fell into the middle of the track.
He immediately sat up, but another rider collided with his back, causing the second rider to be thrown over the handlebars and land over the injured 14-year-old.
The race was immediately suspended and first aid officers attended to the rider.
The 14-year-old was transported by paramedics on a spinal board to Young District Hospital for precautionary scans.
He sustained bruising and swelling.
YOUNG police would like to hear from anyone who might have seen people vandalising a vehicle in Hargreaves Crescent last on Monday night.
Between 7.30pm and 8.30pm on Monday the unknown person/s poured plumbers glue all over the drivers side of as motor vehicle parked outside a residence.
Damage is estimated at $1500.
