The Cobras defeated the Young Hotel Clean Machine in an extremely close match by 6 games to 5.
The match came down to the very last game and a timely 180 by Greg Lestrange gave his side the buffer they needed to close out the match.
The B Grade grand final was a one sided match with the Eastern Tyre Power Steamers defeating the Eastern Redbacks by 6 games to 1.
The Steamers were deserved winners after dominating the competition and only loosing one match throughout the winter comp.
Tomorrow night the singles championships will be played.
A Grade men will play at the Young Golf Club and the B Grade men and ladies will play at the Young Hotel.
Names are to be given to Greg Lestrange 0458 479 192 or John Laybutt 0408 202 026.
Play will commence at 7.40pm.
The men’s B Grade is open for any male who feels they are not A Grade standard.
Just because your team is in A Grade does not mean you have to play A Grade singles.
The darts association is encouraging as many players to participate in the B Grade singles as possible.
If you’re unsure of your grading contact Greg Lestrange 0458 479 192 or John Laybutt 0408 202 026.
The format of both the men’s A Grade and B Grade single championships will be a two-life system.
The ladies will play a straight knockout 501 best of three games.
The Mill Tavern is seeking interest from anyone wishing to play in a weekly singles competition on Tuesday nights.
The competition will comprise of teams of three players who will play each other in games of 501 and 301 double start - double finish, both being the best of three games.
These matches take roughly two hours to play.
Anyone interested in entering a team of three players or any individuals keen on playing please see Jason or Jenny at the Mill Tavern or contact Shannon Genge on 0427 924 665.
