It ran smoothly and the competition was hot!
It was great to see so many families out and about supporting the teams.
With only 13 teams re-entering from last competition, this year is going to be one to be part of.
The results from the first week were great.
Many new teams joined the competition and some for the first time ever playing touch football.
A big congratulations to Delta’s Dummy Halfwits, Fruit Juice and Nepal Donkeys for never playing any touch before.
Great to see new teams and their willingness to learn and enjoy the competition.
The winners from last season YSB (mixed) and Cooper’s Trooper’s (men’s) started their season off very well with strong wins.
We would like to announce our major sponsor for the seniors Young Touch Football this year is Anytime Fitness and for our junior competition is Judges Pharmacy.
We would like to thank these businesses for coming on board to support the Young Empire and make this competition very successful.
This year we have introduced a new concept, that being junior touch football skills/drills and modified games.
This is for ages 4-12 and it was exciting to say that we have approximately 60 juniors and 11 coaches supporting this.
This is weekly for those who have registered from 5.15pm-5.55pm.
Congratulations to all our players for their efforts and outstanding participation in Round 1 – keep up the good work.
Last week the mixed game of the week would be The Hospital Shop and Cardiac Arrest and the men’s going to 7/13 and Team Honks.
