Emily Hardy, Jessica Saines and Caitlin Muller will visit the Sydney fruit markets on Wednesday to watch the auction and they will promote the National Cherry Capital of Young, the upcoming cherry harvest and the National Cherry Festival which will be held on December 5, 6 and 7 this year.
All three entrants have expressed excitement at the prospect of the Sydney trip and the chance to see the famed auction first hand.
National Cherry Festival Committee president and trip organiser Lenore Schiller described the auction as a great opportunity for the girls to promote Young and inspect the Sydney markets.
She praised the National Cherry Growers Association for sponsoring the expedition which she said was one of the highlights of the entrants’ schedule.
