Thanks to the organisers for a big day.
On Saturday, Col and Michele Blizzard sponsored the four ball medley with an individual event for the men and ladies.
The four ball winners were Ian Tierney and Mark McCormick with a very good score of 49 points.
Runners-up were Trish Miller and Colin Miller on 45 points.
Mark Schipp won the men’s individual with 41 points and Kate Cooper won the ladies single event with 40 points.
Nearest to the pin winners were James French, Wayne Hewson, Trish Miller and Wendy Tuckerman.
Geoff Walker won the Terry Bros Carpet Court secret birdie (15th).
The Richard Mellish Insurance Services card draw was won by Pud Smithers and Ian Horley, a regular visitor at this time of year. Welcome.
On Sunday, only a small field supported the Mercy Care day unfortunately, but the organising committee were happy with the financial result.
The day was sponsored by the South West Slopes Credit Union and Barton Property of Young. Many thanks.
Ian Tierney and Peter Greaves were the winners on 61 nett on a countback from Steve Sell and Mark Crutcher.
James French and Rick Oliver were third on 62.
In fourth place were Phil Mitchell and Chris Fraser, and in fifth place, Tony Leadbiter and Paul Flynn.
The long drive winners were James French and Penny Greaves and NTP winners were Robert Keevil and Peta Glasheen.
Thanks to all who supported the day and the golf ball drop.

The organisers were very happy with the support for this novelty.
The local golfers started their championship on Sunday but we don’t have first round details.
On Wednesday, Simon Murray was the winner of the pro comp on 39 points.
Wal Bronan 38, Max Gilbert 38, Jim Beath 37 and Larry Marks was fifth on a countback with 36 points.
Balls to 31 points on a countback.
The jackpot card draw was not won.
On Friday, Larraine Nicolls won with 24 points.
Nerida James was second on 20 points and Gerry Nicolls was thrid on 18 points.
Week two of the Young Tyrepower daylight savings team competition saw a tie between Essential Energy and the Fruit Barn.
On the Essential Energy team are A. Miller, C. Miller, T. Pullen and J. Sharman.
On the Fruit Barn team there is R. Bush, A. Tanner, B. Maloney, D. Corcoran and N. Bush.
All golfers and friends or supporters of the golf club are invited to celebrate the induction of the first two members into the Wall of Fame on Friday, November 28 at 6pm for 6.30pm.
The evening will include a barbecue, some exciting raffles and a short formal presentation.
This is the same day as the Norton Realty Day so hopefully some involved on that day will stay on for the induction.

Joel Shields shot rounds of 72, 73 in the Queensland Amateur Championship and qualified for the second elimination round.
He didn’t qualify for the matchplay after this second qualifying event.
The leading 32 scores did qualify.
Next Saturday will be the November monthly medal, sponsored by Harvey Norman Superstore Young.
Also on the program will be the elite scratch, John Hobson putting, Terry Brothers Carpet Court secret birdie and the Watson Toyota NTP.
The eclectic, sponsored by Wally Wilder and Dave Taylor, is also on the program.
Sunday’s medley will be sponsored by South West Tractors.
On Tuesday, November 4 there will be a Melbourne Cup medley with a shot gun start.
