A special mention to the juniors who were out there playing very enthusiastically and giving it their all.
Each team has been improving week by week and learning new skills where they have been able to put it in place in their games.
There are still a number of junior players that have not registered online. As a result the list of individuals will be put up on our Facebook page and asked to complete their registration – failure to do this will result in not being able to take the field this Thursday.
This is a matter of priority due to insurance reasons.
In the mixed and men’s competition two teams, Freshers and Empire Emu’s, are still unbeaten.
They are controlling the games they play and turning the skills on when needed.
The matches of the week went to Fruit Juice and Cardiac Arrest in the mixed competition, and Tester Porter Warriors and Petal Falls.
All teams demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, as well as their skills and game play have improved dramatically over the past few weeks.
Well done to the teams and continue to keep up the good work.
A few reminders:
Any player who is not registered in your team is not to take to the field. In the event that are short you need to play with lower numbers or forfeit your game.
If a player who is not registered takes the field you will lose your competition points.
All captains have attend a meeting earlier this year and they know and understand the rules.
Also, do not forget to check the draws for referees. We have had a few teams not turning up for duty. As a result you will be fined $20 and will lose some competition points, and you will not be able to take the field until that fine is paid.
This is the final warning and teams will be fined as of this week.
Finally, you must sign on the team score sheet before taking the field – no sign, no play. This is just to ensure we know who is playing and ensure that your players have enough team players for finals later in the season.
