Showground trust member Ray Blackwood - who has overseen the installation of the cameras - has put trouble makers on notice.
“If they do something stupid they will be caught because there are fixed and moveable cameras with the possibility of more in the future,” He said.
Mr Blackwood said the installation of the cameras was put forward around the time the toilet block suffered from vandals back in August.
They were due to be installed just days after fire devastated the historic pavilion on November 2.
“You feel violated the same as any person that’s had their home invaded,” Mr Blackwood said
“It’s also led to treble the work over the next 12 months.”
The showground is still to install the cameras that need to be attached to Essential Energy poles as permission needs to be obtained from them.
He said that while a few events such as weddings had to be rescheduled, everything planned at the showground is still going ahead.
“The showground will be bigger and better than ever,” Mr Blackwood said.
A deliberately lit fire tore through part of Young Showground’s main pavilion on November 2, destroying historic trophies and memorabilia.
The oldest part of the pavilion dating back to 1900 largely avoided significant damage, but a small extension built around the 1920s was completely destroyed and the tireless fundraising of volunteers was reduced to ashes with the state-of-the art kitchen built in 1995 burnt to the ground.
Police said investigations into the fire were ongoing and asked anyone with information to come forward.
