A WOMAN who was “fishtailing” and doing “doughnuts” on a local road has been issued with an infringement notice.

The 22-year-old was sighted undertaking the driving manoeuvres in a green Holden Commodore along McMahons Road, Young near the intersectionof Jasprizza Road on Thursday.
After sighting the location and confirming the complaint, police spoke with the woman the following day.
She made full admissions to being the driver at the time and also said her brother was in the vehicle.
When police asked the woman why she would “fishtail”, she allegedly stated, “stupidity”.
When asked why she would do “doughnuts” on a gravel road she stated, “showing off I guess, not only males can do that sort of thing, girls can to”.
A YOUNG man who tried to barge into a local hotel after being refused entry has been issued with infringement notices by police.
The 24-year-old was refused entry to the Boorowa Street hotel as the premises was exercising their 11pm lockout.
The male refused to leave the area, became abusive towards security staff, then attempted to gain entry by pushing past them.
The offence occurred around 11.40pm on Saturday
Police were called to the hotel and the man then became abusive towards them.
He was arrested and infringement notices issued for remaining in the vicinity of the licensed premise and offensive language.
Police are reminding local people that if you are refused entry to a licensed premises or asked to leave, you must do so and you cannot remain within a 50 metre radius of the premises.
A MOTORCYCLIST who attempted to overtake a car while it was making a right hand turn ended up in Young Hospital at the weekend.
The incident occurred around 10.50am on Saturday when the 25-year-old Wombat man was riding his Honda motorcycle north on the Olympic highway.
He attempted to overtake a Toyota Kluger on unbroken double white lines while the Kluger was making a right hand turn into the driveway of a cherry orchard.
The motorcycle collided with the right hand side front guard and mirror of the Kluger causing the bike and the rider to fall over and slide approximately 10 metres on the bitumen.
He was conveyed to Young Hospital by ambulance and later released having suffered a 15 centimetre laceration to his left bicep which required stitches, grazes and bruising to his back and right side and his fingernail was removed from his right pinky finger.
Police have yet to speak with the rider and discuss any action.
