With new faces on the committee, new ideas are bound to come up.
Those new to town or people who haven’t played in a while are encouraged back, as president Scott Druett (pictured) promises a more social aspect to the club this year.
“We want to continue our good work from previous years, and get the numbers back up,” Druett said.
The squash club’s numbers have decreased throughout passed years, particularly the end of 2014.
Mr Druett also said there will be a social hit at the squash courts on Wednesdays and Thursdays starting at 6pm.
“In the meantime, anyone who wants a hit put your name on the board and we’ll have a five minute warm-up and have a continuous hit,” he said.
Nominations are open for the first competition of the year. Nominations will close on Friday, January 30 with the competition commencing on Monday, February 9.
Nominations can be handed in at the reception at the Young Services Club.
Anyone interest in joining the squash club is encouraged to head down to the squash court at the Young Services Club and hand the nomination into reception.
