Thirty teams will take part in Young’s biggest annual cricket event this weekend, that’s roughly 214 people, playing 60 games across town on Saturday - that’s 720 overs of cricket, 4320 balls.
Teams will be split into six groups of five, with only 16 teams able to qualify for Sunday’s knock-out stage.
A further 18 games will be played on Sunday to determine the 2015 champions.
Six grounds will be used on Saturday to cater for the large number of teams, while four grounds will host the knock-out games on Sunday before everyone converges onto Gus Smith Oval for the final four and final of the tournament.
The Young Rotary Club will be running a barbecue on both days from 8.30am until around 2.30pm.
Organisers are hopeful the community gets on board and supports the event by making their way down to the ovals over the weekend.
“We’d like to encourage the local community to come out and enjoy the festivities,” organiser Brendon Meynell said.
