Friends of crash victim Narissa Fox, who was relishing her new life in Young, have remembered her as a generous spirit who would do anything for her three young daughters.

Narissa, a 38-year-old single mother, died after she lost control of her Nissan Pulsar on a bend on Moppity Road about 20km south-east of Young shortly after 2pm on Monday.
Her three daughters were able to free themselves from the wreckage and flag down help from a passing car, but they are now left to navigate life without their mother.
Friend Lauren Colby knew better than most the extent of Narissa’s good will.
Narissa had seen Lauren through some of the toughest times of her life, giving her everything from food, a bed to sleep in and a friend to talk to.
“She was like a second mother to me, she was just always there with problems I had,” Lauren said.
“She was respectful and had an open hand out no matter what...she was always willing to give people a place to stay, food, anything for anyone. She was almost too generous for her own good.
“She helped me out with my problems so I told her I would always help her kids if they needed it.”
So in light of the family’s ongoing medical issues, the need for counselling, funeral costs and the girls’ desire to stay in Young, Lauren decided to start a GoFundMe page, which takes donations to support the family.
Narissa and her three daughters had been living in Young at the caravan park since August, after making the move from Sydney, in search of a fresh start.
By all accounts they were relishing life in Young and had plans to set up a permanent home.
“She was extremely happy to be there, she said the community, the people were just wonderful,” Lauren said.
“Every time she walked into a shop people would know her by name and say hello.
“She loved the area...she said moving there was one of the best things she ever did.”
Narissa’s three daughters, Mikaila (15), Chloe (9) and Elly (12), are still recovering from the ordeal in hospital.
They have told their family they want to stay in Young, so the girls’ grandmother is looking to make the move from Sydney.
Sharyn Mcneice - Lauren’s mum - had known Narissa for about six years, and thought of her as a sister.
In that time, she witnessed her dedication to her three girls.
“She’s family orientated, she does everything she can for the girls,” Sharyn said.
“She’s just a fantastic person and she wouldn’t harm anyone...the girls absolutely adored her.”
“I just spoke to her on the Friday and when I got the message about it I just broke down, I didn’t want to believe it.”
While initial police investigations indicated Narissa was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, Lauren and Sharyn insist she would have been.
“Even when I used to get in the car with her, she would not start the car until I had my seatbelt on,” Lauren said.
“There’s no doubt in my mind she would have had it on.”
The coroner’s report is yet to be completed.
